“Il Vecchio Uliveto” (The Ancient Olive Tree Grove) has four holiday apartments (we live in one of them) and one independent holiday house, all splendidly surrounded by ancient olive trees, vineyards, pines forest, green hills and the characteristic mediterranean vegetation. Located at less than ten minutes by car (3km) from one of the most beautiful bays in Gargano, fifteen minutes from the “Foresta Umbra” and  thirteen minutes from Vieste, they base on a philosophy of holidays as much as possible in harmony with nature and absolutely not far away from the essential services and  facilities, indispensables for a totally relaxing holiday. In fact, on the main road to the bay there are several shops, markets, chemists, newsstands and a shuttle-bus service which connect frequently the area with the town and with other interesting sites in Gargano (Peschici, Monte S. - Discover (at reduced prices for our guests) on horseback, with an expert horse riding guide, the striking and evocative landscapes through the luxuriant nature of Gargano.
- Be under a spell of a traditional fishing on a “Trabucco” (old and ingenious fishing structures, characteristic of Gargano).
- Take part in all the ecursions (organized by professional guides, authorized from the Gargano National Park) our area offers. Some of them: Spectacular ride along the south bank of Vieste on motorboats; the unforgettable cruise on a comfortable Hydrofoil which will take you in a while to the famous and amazing Tremiti islands; Trips by jeep, on a professional mountain bike or riding a Quad trough the ancient “Foresta Umbra”, with a lunch-break testing dairy products in an old and characteristic farm-house.
- Taste for free and, if there’s a will, buy the extra-virgin olive oil from controlled organically grown.
- Surf the waves and the blue sea by taking wind- or kyte-surfing lessons (at reduced price for our guess) at the “Gargano Surf & Kite Center”, one of the best schools of water sport in the area.
- Enjoy the sunset and have a refreshing glass of good Italian white wine or a cocktail in one of the best restaurants & wine bar of the bay. In fact, the “Ebbrodiblu” restaurant & wine bar offers its characteristic kitchen, its terrace directly at the beach and the best live music events, from Jazz to Bossa Nova, in a stunning ambience.
